Can a machine's automatic lubrication cycle wait until more wind power is available?

The short answer

Only if the machine and lubrication-system requirements permit the delay. Small cycle energy does not mean arbitrary scheduling freedom. An automatic lubrication service can depend on elapsed time, machine activity and verified delivery, not simply the next convenient period of renewable generation. The owner should use the applicable equipment instructions rather than derive an interval from wind availability.

Identify the actual cycle trigger

Obtain the lubrication arrangement, pump type and controller description. SKF distinguishes time-based and machine-pulse intervals in an applicable system. Determine what the installed trigger represents and whether machine operation continues while a cycle is pending. Do not substitute clock hours for operating exposure or assume every pump is electrically driven.

Distinguish command from completed delivery

Ask which pressure, distributor or other supported feedback establishes the required cycle. A pump-start event or energized coil does not prove lubricant reached every required point. Keep a missed or incomplete cycle visible in machine service records. This page gives no lubrication quantity, maximum delay, manual injection or alarm-bypass procedure. Keep elapsed time, machine pulses and completed lubrication events as separate fields.

Include the machine-activity counter when it defines the interval. Two equal clock periods can contain different lubrication obligations if one includes substantially more accepted machine operating exposure.

Define the accepted electrical requirement

Model event input, controls and any associated air supply at consistent boundaries. If a cycle is mandatory during low wind, the integrator must identify the accepted supply or machine response rather than silently defer it. Give the actual trigger/feedback description and permitted input states with the RFQ. A small auxiliary can constrain dispatch even when its kWh is negligible beside production. No MARSTON lubrication control, machine reliability or compatibility with a third-party centralized system is established by a renewable energy budget.
